Want to be the best dressed at Goodwood?

At 3.00 pm every day of the Goodwood Revival festival, a selection of the best dressed of the day are paraded and a winner selected by the panel.

Outfits need to be unique and authentic looking with an emphasis on style and at Admiral Costumes we have a fine selection of clothing from the 40s and 50s suitable for this event.

Many visitors attending the revival and the festival of speed, dress in styles of the day ranging from the 1940’s through to the 70’s. Most popular outfits are from the 1940s and 50s with vintage and classic car owners dressing in clothing to suit their vehicle.

The Goodwood nine hours race and the revival is the only race meeting in the world staged entirely in the nostalgic time capsule of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.

Admiral Costumes have a fantastic selection of unique vintage and retro clothing suitable for wearing to the Goodwood Revival. Choose from military uniform or civilian wear in a choice of style to suit you.

Our regular customers like to select and book their outfits well in advance to get first pick of the outfits on offer, hoping for a chance to get into the best dressed category at the show.

Admiral Costumes Video Shoot

When I saw Kate Eveling’s latest video clip, I called her straight away to plan a video shoot for us here at Admiral to showcase our wonderful costumes.

We wanted a short video clip that would give a brief flavour of what we can offer from our unique collection of theatrical costumes whilst at the same time capturing the magic, excitement and fun that dressing up and make believe can bring.

We only had to leave it to Kate who came up with a wonderful concept, script and shot list in a very short space of time.

Then it was over to us to select a range of costumes in a variety of shapes, sizes, styles and colours throwing in an interesting mix of characters.

A plea on FB conjured up some amazing models. Family, friends and some willing volunteers from local drama group Milton Keynes Theatre of Comedy did a fabulous job of bring the costumes and characters to life.

West end actress Lisa Bridge, took time out of her busy schedule to model six outfits in superb style.

Here are some great behind the scenes pics of the day and I love this surreal moment where Beetle juice meets Fagin

I adored playing the part of a modern fairy godmother; sprinkling fairy dust and making costume dreams come true.

Watch this space for more news on our video and photo shoot and a sneak preview of the film.

Lisa will be performing as Isla in the new musical Heaven on Earth Tour starting in December
